Youth Programs


CRC's youth programs engage rural youth (ages 8-18) in free, fun, inclusive after-school and summertime activities that promote physical activity and movement skills, healthy eating and positive food culture, social and emotional learning and connections, youth leadership, critical thinking, and engaged citizenship.

 Youth programming is offered after school and throughout the summer via multi-day summer camps and full-day events. 

Core program activities include: 

‌- Physical activity and games to build fundamental movement skills 
‌- Social and emotional learning activities 
-‌ Participatory decision making and conflict resolution 
-‌ Food literacy activities 
‌- Leadership skill development 
‌- Media literacy and arts activism 
‌- Family events 
‌- Community clean-ups and other volunteer opportunities 
‌- Referrals to other CRC programs and partner organizations 
‌- Access to essentials (winter clothing, food, period products, backpacks and school supplies
